Far South Plumbing is an experienced and licensed Narooma plumber servicing the NSW South Coast – from Batemans Bay in the north to Cuttagee in the south. We’re local experts when it comes to fixing blocked drains and toilets in residential and commercial properties. Our plumbers have access to the latest equipment, including a pipe camera, sonde, electric eel and high-pressure water jetter.
Important Note: in the event of flooding (due to a blocked drain or toilet), you need to turn off the water main, which is usually located near the water meter at the front of your property.
An Overview of our Blocked Drain / Toilet Services
Far South Plumbing unblocks all types of drains / pipes in both sewer and stormwater systems. We understand the plumbing infrastructure in Narooma and on the wider NSW South Coast.
Blocked Toilet
A blocked toilet is not only unhygienic, but can cause potential flooding – resulting in structural damage (walls and floors). A “typical” blocked toilet is characterised by a bowl that doesn’t drain or flush properly, gurgling sounds and a raw sewage smell.
Blocked Shower Drain
A blocked toilet is not only unhygienic, but can cause potential flooding – resulting in structural damage (walls and floors). A “typical” blocked toilet is characterised by a bowl that doesn’t drain or flush properly, gurgling sounds and a raw sewage smell.
Blocked Bathroom Sink
A blocked bathroom sink can be caused by soap scum, dirt, skin flakes and/or hair accumulation. A blocked bathroom sink can sometimes be cleared by using a liquid drain cleaner from a hardware store or supermarket. In more serious cases, an experienced plumber is required.
Blocked Kitchen Sink
Over time, kitchen sink drains can become blocked with grease, oil, detergent soap scum and food particles (eg. rice). Given that hot water is now tempered (the temperature can’t exceed 50 degrees centigrade), flushing a kitchen sink drain with hot water isn’t as effective as it used to be.
Blocked Sewer Line
A blocked sewer line is a serious problem that can cause flooding and property damage. Blocked sewer lines are commonly caused by tree roots (which creep in through pipe cracks) and items flushed down the toilet, such as disposable nappies, tissues, baby wipes and toys.
Blocked Stormwater Drain
A blocked stormwater drain will usually result in some form of flooding on a property. Many blocked stormwater drains are caused by debris, such as leaves, silt, dirt and mud. If you don’t clean your roof gutters regularly, you run a greater chance of a blocked stormwater drain.
